FLC develops a Master List of families that disseminates their
information for various organizations and churches: Civitan's toys
and clothing distribution, Angel Trees, school drives, church
distributions, police departments.
Families not being served by other organizations will receive gifts
through "Community Christmas"
The screening process allows FLC to communicate with all families
for the purpose of matching them with appropiate serving
organizations and churches plus individuals who want to "adopt" a
family.
Families being served by FLC will be matched with volunteers who
assist in "shopping" for gifts for their children and a new coat
for each child. These gifts are wrapped, then food is selected from
"Garden Gate" Food pantry and a cooked holiday meal is served to
the family.
This type of commitment enables the volunteer the time to make a
relationship with the family. Thus creating a friendship for
life.
Family Life Center becomes a winter wonderland for the community
and the family.
The third element of "Community Christmas" is the Christmas /
Winter decoration give away. FLC receives decorations year round.
On the Monday after Thanksgiving these decorations are
distributed for families. Decorations include completely
assembled trees, wreaths, working lights, santas, angels, villages,
etc...

ministry, cooks/bakers for Christmas meals (4 days), gift wrappers,
individuals teaming with family members, toy shelf stockers, master
list coordinator, toy collectors

New toys, hats, mittens, coats, pajamas, children clothes, new
bikes, wrapping paper, food, hams, turkeys
